Story Summary:
When Legolas meets Aragorn's most unique and
desirable former lover, can he tame her wild heart or will he destroy
her spirit by a simple miscalculation of judgement?
Detailed sex but not too much smut. Sweet smut?
Tolkien purists: Forewarning - Deviated so far from the books it isn't
funny! And LACE? Never heard of it before I wrote this story.
Obviously, neither had Vanelossë or Legolas!
This story
was written a long time ago and posted before I discovered betas so
please forgive the mistakes. I have too many WIPs now to rewrite it.
Chapter Three
Observation
As they were walking away, Aragorn went to find Arwen and Elladan pulled Legolas into the trees.
“Where are we going?” Legolas whispered.
“Just come with me.” Elladan whispered back.
When they came through the trees, Legolas realized they had just come
up on the other side of the waterfall’s pool. By this time, she was
walking into the water in just thin undergarments.
Vanelossë slid into the water and he turned to Elladan and whispered, “This is not right. We should not be watching her.”
“Oh, she knows we are watching. Trust me. If she didn’t realize, she
would have taken all of her clothes off.” Elladan whispered smiling
implying he had watched her before when she was bare.
As if on cue, she looked in their direction and smiled before going
under the water. When she came back up, her wet hair was clinging to
her along with her thin clothing. Her hair unexplainably managed to
cling to her in just the right places as to not expose too much.
Elladan smiled at Legolas and whispered, “If I were you, I would give
up the bow gladly. Either way you will win but this way you will get a
much better prize.”
“Elladan, you are such a pig.” Elrohir whispered coming up behind them quietly.
Elrohir was peeking around the two elves just as Vanelossë went to
stand under the waterfall. As they all watched, she stood there with
her head back just feeling the water pouring over her. She was quite
the vision looking as though she was not of the world but a fantastical
creature from the sea that inspired songs from the few chosen ones to
have seen her.
“He’s right, Legolas. Much better than a bow.”
“What are you three doing?” Aragorn whispered.
His breath caught in his throat when he saw her as he had seen her so
many years earlier. Quickly, he looked away pushing away the thoughts
of their history and quietly grabbed the other three and pulled them
back through the woods.
Once they were well out of earshot, he looked at them all and said,
“You three have no decency and I have a feeling Elladan, it was your
idea. Come on.”
Dragging Elladan by the arm, Aragorn walked out of the woods with Elrohir and Legolas following.
“She is a good person though. Really. I would not want anyone to harm her.” Elrohir said to Legolas.
“You know me better than that. I would be more worried about your brother than me.” Legolas smiled “So you and she never…?
”No. I kissed her once. I mean twice. Both of us did. We were younger
and she wanted to find out if twins kissed the same. So she kissed each
of us and still unsure she kissed us again. Still to this day, I wish a
kiss had not been all she was curious about. “ Elrohir smiled. “But
typical Van, she was just curious and once her curiosity was satisfied,
she was done with us. Elladan has never gotten over it though. “
“So do you?” Legolas joked. “Kiss the same?”
“Not according to her. I am better, of course.” He laughed.
“Oh, of course.”
As the reached the main part of Imladris they all went their separate
ways because tonight they were all to dine with Lord Elrond. Legolas
took special care when getting ready. A part of him wanted to spark her
interest while the other wanted to win the bet. Feeling the twins were
right about the bow versus the girl, he might lose on purpose if it
were not for the fact he would never live it down with Aragorn.
They were all standing in Lord Elrond’s library around before going
into dinner waiting for Vanelossë. Finally they went into the dining
room to gather for dinner, he noticed an empty spot across from him
beside Arwen. Lord Elrond, looking rather annoyed, asked everyone if
they had seen Vanelossë. All shaking their heads, Arwen started to get
up to get her when Elrond stopped her.
“She knows where she is to be and when. We will not wait for her any longer.”
As soon as he sat down, Vanelossë sauntered into the room. She was
wearing a crimson gown that was fairly low cut and was sleeveless. Her
hair was loose and, if possible, she looked even more radiant than
before. She slid into the seat beside Arwen.
Looking over at Elrond, she smiled and asked sweetly “Am I late?”
Arwen elbowed her as Elrond sighed and shook his head.
“Legolas, I do not think you have met Vanelossë yet.” Arwen said.
“Yes, he has. In fact, we are old friends now, are we not Legolas?” Vanelossë smiled.
“They met earlier, sister. It appears that Van felt the need for
cooling off at the same time that Legolas did and they met by the old
waterfalls.” Elladan smiled as Elrohir kicked him under the table.
Looking down the table at all of them, Lord Elrond shook his head.
Apparently, Vanelossë had been up to mischief again and somehow Legolas
was involved. Realizing that the Mirkwood elf might actually be a good
influence on her, he smiled. Maybe Legolas could tame that wild spirit
of hers plus it would be a very good match for her.
Elrond had promised her father that he would keep an eye on her but he
had no idea how much work it would be. She was the total opposite of
Arwen. His daughter was calm, poised, demure, rational, well mannered,
and lady like at all times. She had always been that way. The only time
she ever gave him any trouble was when she fell for Estel. On the other
hand Vanelossë was anything but calm, poised or demure, she was quite
irrational not to mention, bold, rash, and way too curious for her own
good. She was a father’s worst nightmare and plenty of mothers had
cursed her as well while their sons had pursued her instead of the nice
girls that they could marry. She frustrated him to the point of madness
but he considered her almost as one of his own and in his heart, he
knew she was a special and rare person.
Even now Elrond could see Vanelossë drinking a glass of wine while
glancing over at Legolas. He knew that look of intense curosity and he
knew to be concerned. It appeared so far that she was more interested
in Legolas than he was in her but he had heard that Legolas was a hard
one to catch. Maybe, just maybe, him not falling so quickly under her
spell would cause her to get serious about him. Either way he decided
to stay out of it as much as possible.
“Van, have you met Aragorn as well?” Arwen said. As both Vanelossë and
Aragorn forgot how to breathe for a minute, Arwen laughed and said.
“Oh, of course you have. You were here when he was growing up. You had
just left when I met him.”
Exhaling quiet, Aragorn tried not to notice the irritation and spark of
fire in Vanelossë’s eyes at the reminder of how quickly he had fallen
for Arwen after her. Quick to change the subject, he engaged Elrond
into a conversation and Arwen leaned over to listen in. The twins both
looked at Van and smiled. She glared back at them and grabbed another
glass of wine. Calming down quickly because it was a long time ago, she
looked back over at Legolas and caught him watching her. She held his
gaze for a few minutes before she smiled at him seductively.
“So, Legolas, is it true what they say about you?”
“And what would that be?”
“Oh, just that you are deadly accurate with a bow and equally talented
with women.” She laughed and said. “Sorry. I mean talented at avoiding
women’s pursuits. ”
Realizing she was trying to goad him, he smiled and said, “I try to be good with a bow.”
Not willing to let him off the hook yet, she inquired “And women? Are
you good with them as well? Quite the elusive prince is what I have
been told.”
“Van!” Arwen had overheard the last comment. “Legolas, please forgive
Vanelossë, she says what she thinks and sometimes says things without
thinking at all.”
Looking over her glass with an amused smile, she said “Oh yes, sorry. I did not realize it was a sensitive subject.”
Arwen was staring at her in frustration. After a few minutes, Vanelossë looked at her.
“What did I say this time?” She said innocently.
While Arwen had heard about her wicked side and seen it frequently in
everything else, she was shocked to see her being so wicked about
Legolas. Realizing what was going on, she looked over at her brothers
for help. Van and Legolas had resumed looking at each other. When she
looked at the twins, they both smiled and shrugged. Not wanting her
father to hear what was going on at this end of the table, she tried to
keep his focus on her and Aragorn.
Unable to pull himself from her gaze, Legolas smiled at Arwen’s
frustration. He could see where Van was going to be a difficult one to
resist. In fact, he was no longer sure he wanted to resist her at all.
